The collections

Demen Limyè Jayi
Free oswa Lanmò*
100x100, oil on canvas, 2024
(*Liberty or Death)

Presented at the Association Mémoire d’Outre-Mer in Nantes in June 2024, Demen Limyè Jayi is an ode to revolt and love. Drawing from Haiti’s revolutionary heritage and nourished by a deep attachment to my people, it highlights the resilience of a nation in rebirth—carried by the powerful hues of blue and gold. Inspired by Byzantine icons and imbued with a mythological dimension, the exhibition sketches the contours of a strong, enduring nation, firmly anchored in its cultural and spiritual roots.

Childhood III, Pretty Flower
50x70, oil on canvas, 2023

Enfance is a series of autobiographical canvases exploring the questions surrounding my identity as a Black girl often mistaken for a boy. Through this series, I examine how femininity is a social construct that, from childhood, pushed me to exaggerate certain behaviors in order to be recognized as such—even though this should never have been necessary. The works also interrogate the racist biases I faced, revealing how norms and perceptions can exclude certain identities from the very earliest years.

Lovers
115x75, oil on canvas, 2022

An ongoing series exploring sensuality and the multiple facets of queer identity, questioning social norms. Through intimate and poetic portraits, it celebrates different forms of love and offers a free, nuanced vision of femininity—resisting expectations and stereotypes.

Laura and Emilie
100x100, oil on canvas, 2024

The Maternelle exhibition explores the complexity and diversity of motherhood through authentic testimonies. The canvases reveal the beauty, challenges, and plurality of maternal experiences, highlighting nuances and the many dimensions of parenthood. Presented alongside the works, the testimonies of mothers enrich the exhibition with a human and emotional depth, inviting the viewer to reflect deeply on what it means to be a mother today.

The black Unicorn
70x100, oil on canvas, 2025

These paintings explore sensations, silences, hunches. Fragments of shifting identities, hollowed emotions, half-erased memories.

Collection Eros - I

Eros explores the female gaze directed at the male body. Through paintings based on photographic sessions conducted by the artist, this series delves into desire, sensuality, and the male vulnerability. Far from a relationship of domination, it is an exchange: a female gaze that chooses, contemplates, and celebrates.

The models—Black heterosexual and bisexual men—pose in a confident intimacy where beauty becomes both an aesthetic and political choice.

This project marks a shift toward a more symbolic pictorial language, where light, skin, and texture become vehicles of emotion and eroticism.Eros continues the questions raised in Frivoles?, while inverting the perspective of desire.
